Four powers vie for dominion over the realm — choose your allegiance

When you create a character in Act of War you pledge to one of four kingdoms. Your choice determines your starting city, available races, combat rivalries, and who you can (and can't) kill without becoming a traitor. Kingdom choice is permanent — pick wisely.

Tier

The Noble Alliance

Tier stands as the realm of order and honor, home to knights, mages, and the wise races of elves, dwarves, and men. Players who choose Tier serve under the banner of civilization and law, holding fast against the encroaching darkness.

Kael is a land of untamed wilderness and untested oaths. Its people are barbarians, druids, centaurs, and faeries — warriors who trust their kin over kings. Kael players prize freedom, raw strength, and the old ways of the forest and steppe.

Undermountain

The Shadowed Depths

Deep beneath the surface world, Undermountain houses the dark and the cunning — drow, vampires, demons, and worse. Its inhabitants trade in shadow, poison, and the forbidden arts. Undermountain players thrive on stealth, dark magic, and alliances of convenience.

Cairn

The Unbound

Cairn is the refuge of the unaligned — mercenaries, exiles, and those who reject the old kingdoms. Its players answer to no crown and fight for their own reasons. A small but fierce faction carving its own legend in the ruins of the world.

Combat Rules

  • Inter-kingdom PvP: Fair game. Killing players from rival kingdoms is the core of the game. You earn a warpoint for every enemy felled.
  • Same-kingdom: Attacking your own kingdom marks you a traitor. Players below level 6 cannot be struck by their own kingdom at all.
  • Arena exception: Inside a ranked arena match, all participants are fair targets regardless of kingdom affiliation.
  • Recall: Each kingdom has its own recall room, die room, and starting city. The recall command returns you home.
